How we measure
Three numbers, each with its count and the answers behind it.
What we ask
Your buyers’ questions, in ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, and AI Overviews, every day. WordMouth AI drafts the questions from your website, and you can edit them. Each question is asked once per app in each daily scan, so more questions give a wider view and every day adds a new set of answers.
Where the answers come from
The answers people see in each app, not answers from a developer API. Every number opens the answers behind it, word for word, with the pages each answer cites.
Visibility
The share of answers that name your business. A name counts wherever it appears: in a list, a comparison, or a criticism. A link to your site with no name in the text does not count.
Position
How early an answer names you: 1 means named first. The figure averages your place in the answers that name you, with how many named you first. It shows order in the answer, not how strongly AI recommends you.
Sentiment
How the answers that name you describe you: positive, neutral, mixed, or negative. The figure is the positive share of the answers with a clear tone. Answers without a clear tone stay out of the figure and show as unclear. A business an answer leaves out has no tone at all.
Rivals and sources
The businesses each answer names instead of you, and the pages it cites. Recommendations point at cited pages you can act on: a roundup to get into, a listing to claim, a page to improve.
When it updates
Every day at 10:00 AM ET, from answers collected overnight. Recommendations update every Monday. Your free report runs at once.
